Startups Getting Millions in Funding
Just recently, I wrote about testing some of the startups that have launched Beta versions of their product or service. It's great to see innovation and even better to be involved with web development during this time.
If you work in the web industry you've probably noticed the millions of dollars that are being thrown at some of the new startups. Is this good? Is it bad? I'm not sure but I find it interesting to say the least.
Beta Tester
Over the last year, I've become more and more interested in all of the new web applications that are popping up. I subscribe to feeds like TechCrunch, Solution Watch and PostBubble to name a few. It's fun and interesting to see all the new software that is being developed.
Computer Spyware Protection Act
House Bill 2083, by State Representative Guy Liebmann (R-Oklahoma City) will allow the state attorney general, Internet service providers or software companies to bring civil action against organizations and individuals that deceitfully install spyware or malware onto computers.
Sounds good, right? There's a catch. The bill would give software companies and your ISP access to all of the data stored on your computer or network.
